It’s only been a few days since the New York Knicks traded with the Detroit Pistons for point guard Derrick Rose, but the team is already looking to add more guards to its roster. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks have set their sights on Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards and Victor Oladipo of the Houston Rockets in a potential deal.

The report states that the Knicks did not make young players like Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina and their future first-round picks available during trade discussions with the Pistons, as the team was saving most of their assets for another future trade. Those deals could include Beal, the NBA's leading scorer, and Oladipo, who was traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Rockets last month.

Beal, a two-time All-Star, is averaging 32.8 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. The longtime Wizard and his agent have said that he will not be traded, but the Wizards have a 6-16 record, the second-worst in the Eastern Conference. There is always the chance that the mounting losses could change their stance on including their star in a potential deal.

Oladipo, meanwhile, has been rumored to be on the move at the trade deadline just weeks into his Rockets tenure. The two-time All-Star has ties with the franchise, as it was Knicks general manager Scott Perry who selected Oladipo with the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft while he was with the Orlando Magic.

Incidentally, the Knicks will face the Wizards and Rockets in consecutive games on Friday and Saturday, giving them a chance to get a closer look at the two All-Star guards.
