Throughout this season, Kristaps Porzingis has been on a tear, and playing at a very high level. He has had a number of huge performances in the early days of the campaign, and has been showcasing his much-improved all around game. That includes his ability to block shots, which has made him average a career high 2.3 swats per game so far.

During the first quarter of Monday’s game between the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers, The Unicorn once again showed off his incredible timing, as he pulled off what appeared to be an effortless block on Kevin Love while he attempted a jump hook. Kristaps Porzingis didn’t even need to jump to deny the Cavs big man from scoring a basket.

With the game expected to be an emotional one, especially after LeBron James made it known recently that he thinks the Knicks would've been better if they drafted Dennis Smith Jr. instead of Frank Ntilikina, the 7-foot-3 Latvian international has marked the area near the basket as his, and sent a message to the Knicks' opponents that it will be difficult for them to score down low with him around.

A win on the night will give the Knicks another winning streak, and will take them to 8-5 for the season. The Cavs on the other hand are looking to win their second consecutive game, and return to .500 with a 7-7 win-loss slate. A defeat will definitely add to their woes, and leave them continuing to search for answers on how to turn around their fortunes.
