Check out our NBA odds series for our Knicks-Pacers prediction and pick.

The New York Knicks are currently leading the series 2-0 after two solid wins the defend their home court. The Playoff environment in Madison Square Garden has been palpable all series and the Knicks escaped both close contests on the back of big second-half performances. After losing Mitchell Robinson and possibly more in through the first two games, they'll look to steal a win on the road in Indy.

The Indiana Pacers dropped both road games to start this series and through both games, they had several moments in which the tide was swinging in their favor. The Pacers' biggest gripe as been with the officiating all series, so they're hoping they can have some calls go their way while playing at home. They're 1-1 ATS during this series.

Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread/Win

The New York Knicks have really shown their toughness during this series and even though they're dealing with injuries to some of their key players, they seem to find a way to win time and time again. They recently lost Mitchell Robinson after Game 1 and all of MSG held their breath when Jalen Brunson checked himself out of Game 2 with a foot injury. Still, Brunson returned to the game and posted 24 second-half points as the Knicks outscored the Pacers 36-18 in the third quarter. Both Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart have been huge for the Knicks this series and the “Villanova 3” is building something special in the Big Apple.

Josh Hart has been a massive reason for the Knicks' success without Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson in the lineup. His 10+ rebounds per game this series have given the Knicks control on the boards and his ability to scoop offensive rebounds has bailed them out in several late-game situations. With DiVincenzo catching heat from three and Isaiah Hartenstein playing great on the defensive end, the Knicks are building some momentum that could be tough to beat.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread/Win

The Indiana Pacers put up two very solid efforts in the opening games of this series and although they're down 0-2 at the moment, their efforts in keeping the Knicks' on their toes haven't gone unnoticed. With the most potent offense through the Regular Season, the Pacers are having success when they're able to push the ball and run out in transition. Their struggled begin when New York slows the pace of the game, so it'd be in their best interest to run down the floor and push the pace of this game. Tyrese Haliburton has had an increasingly prominent role in the scoring offense and they'll need him to be an aggressive scorer at home for this series.

The Pacers submitted over 70 plays to the NBA that they believe should be disputed during this series, so it's clear they have a problem with some of the officiating going on in New York. They won't have any excuses playing in their home building and they should look to get to the free throw line as often as possible. If they can force an already hobbled Knicks team into further foul trouble, they should be able to win their first game of this series.

Final Knicks-Pacers Prediction & Pick

The Knicks looked dominant on their way to a 2-0 lead in this series and it's clear they controlled the pace in both second halves from MSG. The Pacers saw a ton of success in Game 2 when pushing the tempo and running down the floor, but ultimately the offensive rebounding from New York and their dagger threes sealed the game. Coming into this Game 3, we see the betting lines take a massive swing in favor of the home Pacers.

Both Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby were banged-up during the Game 2 win and while they're likely to make the starts for Game 3, their availability is worth tracking as they may be feeling the physical toll on their bodies. With the Pacers healthy and hungry for a win, it's no surprise that the spread shifts in their favor.

For our prediction, we're going to roll with the Indiana Pacers to win and cover this spread. They have no put up 2 solid halves against the Knicks and were just a few plays away from stealing Game 1 on the road. They're 1-1 ATS so far in this series, but I expect the Knicks to be feeling some fatigue as they head to Indy. Let's ride the Pacers to cover in Game 3 as they swing back and make it 2-1.
