President Obama and the White House recently held the final correspondents' dinner under this administration, and it gave an unexpected moment with an NBA player as the motivation for it.

If you recall Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant ended his farewell speech directly after his last NBA game with the phrase “Mamba Out” and a mic drop. Obama decided to close out his last correspondents' dinner with similar words. He then proceeded to finish up the phrase with a mic drop and hand wave.

Not only did President Obama pull from Kobe's speech heard round the world, but Kobe was found to enjoy hearing it coming from the President as well.
