The loud-mouthed father of NBA top-three prospect Lonzo Ball, LaVar Ball, went on Fox Sports 1's The Herd with Colin Cowherd only to draw praise to himself, his Big Baller Brand, and disparage co-hosts Kristine Leahy and Jason Whitlock of Undisputed.

When the issue of the exorbitant prices for the new sneaker line of the ZO2's came out, Leahy inquired how many he had sold, to which he rudely responded “stay in your lane,” igniting a heated back-and-forth between the two after Ball called her a “hater.”

“My problem is you are a hater,” Ball said, continuing to talk over her.

“I have a right to say what shirt I want to wear,” Leahy responded, adding that she felt Ball was being disrespectful to her and to women.

Later on, Ball took a shot at Whitlock, who co-hosts a different show alongside Cowherd:

“I don't think he can comment on anything but snacks.”

Leahy interjected yet again:

“So you disrespect women and people for their weight?”

LaVar Ball has interposed himself in his son's career to the point where more people know who he is and what he does than they know about Lonzo, completely overshadowing his great ability as a basketball player and turning it into a circus.

This benefits no one but Markelle Fultz, who is as clear cut a kid as they get for a No. 1 overall selection, is NBA ready as a legitimate freshman, and doesn't have the headache parent looming around.

Hysterically enough, Lonzo Ball could easily end up dropping down a few spots on the draft list because of teams' reluctance to have the baggage that is his father hanging around the background. NBA teams have enough issues to deal with as it is to have a looming press-hoarding maniac spewing his delirious thoughts on TV.
