The Los Angeles Lakers have been the hottest team in the NBA (aside from the Milwaukee Bucks) to start the 2019-20 season.

Lakers superstar Anthony Davis believes that LeBron James' willingness to accept criticism and hear the input of his teammates have been a major reason for their early season success, per Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group.

The two superstars certainly displayed their leadsrship and chemistry in their thrilling 113-110 victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night.

The Purple and Gold won their 13th consecutive game and improved to 23-3 on the season. They also handed Miami its first loss at home this season.

LeBron James came just one rebound shy of a triple-double and scored 28 points and dished out 12 assists. Anthony Davis, meanwhile, top-scored for the Lakers with 33 points on 11-of-20 shooting. He also added 10 rebounds and made four three-pointers, including a clutch one down the stretch off a LeBron feed that increased their cushion to five points with 1:38 left in the fourth quarter.

Any of the preseason or early season doubt for the Lakers can be thrown out of the window at this point. As high as the expectations were for them, they have somehow exceeded those expectations through the first quarter of the 2019-20 season.

Much of their success, aside from what AD stated above, can be attributed to the leadership and incredible chemistry of their superstar tandem. Likewise, the Lakers have a great supporting crew of individuals that understand and play their roles to the best of their abilities.

James and Davis will continue steering this surging ship in the right direction as they look to lead the Lakers back to the mountaintop in June.
