With eight simple words, Anthony Davis set off a firestorm that had Los Angeles Lakers fans ringing the alarm bells.

“I haven't shot a basketball since April 5th,” admitted the Lakers star in a recent appearance on the Nuke Squad vlog on YouTube.

Naturally, Lakers fans were up in arms over the revelation. After a season in which Anthony Davis once again largely sat out due to injury, playing in less than half the games during the regular season, to hear him admit that he stayed away from basketball for over two months was pretty astonishing.

While AD revealed in a previous exit interview that he usually stays off basketball to let his body heal for a month or two after the season, it didn't stop critics from worrying about what kind of state he'd be coming into next season.

But a few days after the interaction went viral, the Lakers star made sure to put fans at ease by getting a workout in with none other than Lethal Shooter himself to work on his shot.

Lakers fans will be the first to tell you that Anthony Davis definitely needs the shooting reps after a down year last season. AD had one of his best field goal shooting years posting a 53.2% clip, third best in his 10-year career. But he shot a miserable 18.6% from the three-point arc after turning that into a major weapon to open up his game in seasons' past.

If these pocket sessions with Lethal Shooter pay off once the games start to count, Laker nation will have to send the man a gift basket.
