Every NBA player who had the opportunity of playing with or against the late Kobe Bryant has their favorite moment. For Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony, it was when the Los Angeles Lakers icon showed up at halftime and beat them.

In a recent interview, Anthony shared his greatest Kobe moment. Though Anthony didn't share the specifics—when or where the game occurred—he simply remembered how Bryant torched them. What made the feat even more amazing was the fact that the Lakers star didn't even had to warm up to perform at an elite level.

“He came and we played. He came in at halftime, off the plane with the Laker uniform already on. It's right after halftime and it's a timeout. He wins the game,” Melo narrated.

It's one of the many stories that highlight Kobe Bryant's competitive fire and killer mentality. Everyone knows about the night he dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors, the five titles with the Lakers, the gold medals, and many more.

But it's these little known stories that prove how devoted Bryant was at every single game. It's unclear why Bryant showed up late to the game, but it simply showed that Bryant would rather show up late than miss it.

It has been almost a year since the world lost Bryant. However, the stories from NBA players and his former Lakers teammates continue to pour in. In the years to come, we should expect many more.
