Carmelo Anthony officially joined his good friend LeBron James this summer on the Los Angeles Lakers, with The King will be hoping Melo could be an important piece to their title hopes.
Anthony recently sat down with Complex for an exclusive interview and was asked about LeBron James’ fishbowl glasses, which Drake rapped about in his recent album “Certified Lover Boy”. Carmelo Anthony revealed the truth behind it and also gave his honest opinion on Drake’s wine knowledge:
I know the glasses Drake is referring to. Those wine glasses, they big, I know the wine glasses he’s referring to.
Interviewer: Does Drake actually know his wine? I know you and LeBron James and a few others around the league know what the f*ck they’re talking about when it comes to wine. Does Drake know what the f*ck he’s talking about when it comes to wine?
Yeah, Drake drinks wine. I think, like everybody else, they know what they like, they know what their preference is. When you know what your preference is then I consider you knowing.
The Toronto rapper shoutout LeBron James in the song “7 AM On Bridle Path” with this line:
“And all of my wishes come true without blowing eyelashes. Up in Bron crib, fishbowl wine glasses. That’s how we passing time.”
LeBron James is always seen drinking wine and considers himself a bit of a connoisseur. Carmelo Anthony also likes to drink it. Of course, Drake is always hanging out with The King as well, even making appearances with him at Bronny’s high school games.
Needless to say, the fishbowl glasses are a thing.
