Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard says he didn't see Shaquille O'Neal's tweet about him and is focused on the upcoming season.

O'Neal has taken two shots at Howard since he signed with the Lakers. The Diesel told TMZ he doesn't know who Howard is when the gossip site asked him about the three-time Defensive Player of the Year rejoining the Lakers.

Shaq then misspelled Howard's first name on purpose while tweeting at Kobe Bryant.

Dwight Howard is taking the high road, which is the right move since he's said to be on a short leash with the Lakers. Shaquille O'Neal has been ripping Howard for years. At this point, Dwight should just ignore what Shaq is saying and focus on saving his basketball career.

Howard will earn $14,490 for every day he is on the LA roster, with the per day clock starting on October 21. The former All-Star has zero salary protection with the Purple and Gold.

Last season with the Washington Wizards, Howard averaged 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds in nine games. He underwent a lumbar microdiscectomy in November.

Howard will back up JaVale McGee on the Lakers. This won't be like his first stint in Los Angeles when he was a focal point on offense, as Howard is expected to play a limited role for the storied franchise this time around.
