Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has been announced as the coach for Team LeBron in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

Having led the Lakers to a 36-9 record (80% winning percentage), Vogel, as customary, will get to be on the sidelines coaching a team led by Western Conference stars.

James is joined in the West All-Star starters pool by Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, Dallas Mavericks second-year star Luka Doncic, Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden, and Los Angeles Lakers star forward Kawhi Leonard.

This will be the second rendition of Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis after the two superstars met at last year's All-Star. Like last season, the captains will get their picks from a pool of All-Stars selected to participate in the mid-February festivities.

Vogel has had a tremendous season and unforeseen success with the Lakers, as many doubted he could handle James' demanding nature and strong character without having ever coached him before.

LeBron and the Lakers built great chemistry from the get-go and have created vast separation over the rest of the Western Conference, also boasting a West-best plus-7.8 point differential this season — second in the entire NBA only to the Milwaukee Bucks at a whopping plus-12.7 points.

This isn't the first time Vogel will be on the sidelines for an All-Star Game, as he was named All-Star coach of the East in 2014 after leading the Indiana Pacers to the best record through late January. That Pacers team finished with a 56-26 record, besting James' Miami Heat, though Indiana eventually fell to Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals that year.

Now that they've teamed up, the combo of Vogel and James will stand to make some waves in Chicago once the game tips off on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
