Despite the fact that Los Angeles Lakers legendary shooting guard Kobe Bryant is no longer with us, his spirit and message will obviously continue to live on through the NBA and its players — both present and past. Former Washington Wizards superstar guard Gilbert Arenas has become just the latest NBA figure to chime in regarding the passing of Bryant, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident over the weekend.

Not only that, but Arenas has revealed that he will now begin making a commitment previously recommended to him by the late Bryant.

“I will fulfill the task u requested from me in this picture 🙏🏾💯You told me to use my bright basketball mind on some form of coaching on an nba/college bench or coaching kids🏀💯 stop wasting it being an idiot on social media….Today I'm starting my coaching career with @socalcavs 14u “the legacy of an assassins mind will live on” #mambamentality Location: Birmingham High School 17000 Haynes St, Van Nuys, CA 91406 Days: Every Tuesday and Thursday 5-11 years old | 6:00 – 8:00pm 12-15 years old | 7:00 – 9:00pm.”

Bryant notably spent his entire 20-year NBA playing career as a member of the heralded Lakers while going on to win a whopping five NBA titles along the way.

A sure-fire future Hall of Famer, Bryant quickly became one of the best players in the league, something that Arenas was attempting to do himself as both players served as perennial All-Stars in the prime of their respective careers.

Bryant's last regulation NBA game came back in 2015-16.
