It has been a full year since Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, passed away with seven other individuals in a tragic helicopter accident. Houston Rockets point guard John Wall is himself a huge Black Mamba fan, and he recently took a moment to speak about Kobe's legacy.

Wall had nothing but high praise for the fallen Lakers legend, but he also explained why he believes Bryant's legacy went way beyond the basketball court (h/t Jason Bristol of KHOU 11 News Houston):

As Wall expressed in his powerful statement above, Kobe's legacy continues to live on to this very day, and it will continue to do so for many, many years to come. Wall is himself a father so he knows that beyond basketball, the most important thing in life is family — something that Kobe embodied especially after he retired from the Lakers.

As for Wall, his own legacy is in a bit of turmoil right now. He is currently in the middle of a spat against his former team, the Washington Wizards, as he openly criticized the franchise for how poorly they treated him in the buildup to the Russell Westbrook trade. Clearly, Wall did not part with the Wizards in the best of terms.
