Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a big fan of Anthony Davis.
Abdul-Jabbar, the greatest scorer in NBA history, says Davis is “a complete NBA player” and will help the Lakers contend for a championship next season.
“Davis is a complete NBA player,” Abdul-Jabbar said, via Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “He can do it all on both ends of the court. He’s going to be a great addition and the fact that he has played with (DeMarcus) Cousins before in New Orleans and they’ll be teammates again, will be good. They have some history, and now they’re going to team up with LeBron James.
“They have the nucleus of a very good team. The Lakers have put the right pieces together to be championship contenders this season.”
Anthony Davis, a six-time All-Star, has career averages of 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.4 blocks while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from beyond the arc and 79.5 percent from the free-throw line. The new Lakers superstar has the third-best player efficiency rating of all-time at 27.4. LeBron James has the second-best PER of all-time at 27.6.
Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan has the best PER in NBA history at 27.9.
The Lakers are title contenders with LeBron and Davis leading the charge. Laker fans, as well as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, are hoping The King and The Brow can deliver a championship in 2019-20.
