Danny Green shocked the Atlanta Hawks with a timely putback slam to close out a first-half rout, tracking the flight of the ball and sneaking backdoor just in time to hammer it home. The 6-foot-7 Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter is known for his finesse and his big-shot antics, but this is one aspect of his game even his teammates Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso consider underrated.

Per Bill Oram of The Athletic:

“Danny?” asked Kuzma after the game. “I didn’t know he could dunk. Honestly.”

Green, who was eavesdropping from the next stall over, chimed in.

“S**t, me either.”

Caruso gave his teammates some props after the game:

The 32-year-old Lakers vet still has some juice on his legs to make a play like this once in a while. Though most of his highlights will be timely shots or great defensive plays, this is one of Green's few dunks that he'll want to cherish once his career in the league comes to an end.

Put-back slams are always fun, but they're all the more entertaining when it happens from someone who isn't expected to get out there. While this normally means someone like Damian Lillard, Nate Robinson, or Allen Iverson; Green fits that description well, considering he's more known for his marksmanship than his thunder.
