Los Angeles Lakers power forward Kyle Kuzma was undoubtedly one of the biggest surprises of the 2017-18 NBA season. As a result, he had hoped that the days of flying under the radar were long behind him.

However, it is clear that NBA2K19 did not get the memo when they rated him a 78 overall, according to ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward:

Kuzma let it be known via Twitter that he has an issue with the ranking.

Kuzma's response should come as no surprise. He entered the league with a chip on his shoulder after being selected with the 27th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Needless to say, he has managed to establish himself as one of the most promising, youngsters in the league after averaging 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game en route to being named to the Nba All-Rookie First Team.

Unfortunately, it appears 2K is just one of the many doubters who apparently feel the verdict is still out on Kuzma. Although the ratings are still being tinkered with, it is hard to imagine his rating jumping up to the same level as fellow rookie such as Boston Celtics small forward Jayson Tatum (87) and Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell (87). While the aforementioned players may have enjoyed better years than Kuzma, it is still far-fetched to leave such a wide gap between them.

Regardless, there is no doubt that 2K has added even more fuel to the fire. Kuzma has thrived off of being overlooked and it appears he now has even more material to work with.
