Kyle Kuzma has been the proverbial punching bag on the Los Angeles Lakers for parts of the last two seasons. As the only remaining piece of LA's draft-built core before LeBron James arrived, much was expected of Kuz to contribute to a title run, and even potentially be their third star.

But instead, he underperformed on a Lakers squad that was suddenly playing around the orbit of two celestial superstars. There just weren't enough shots to go around. After the Russell Westbrook trade that sent him packing to Washington D.C., Kuzma retweeted a highlight clip showcasing what he could do when given enough room to operate. He also added a 4-word message to his haters for good measure.

Kuz has held an adamant stance that he was simply in the wrong situation, and that with a more refined role and a longer leash, he can thrive. Now he finally gets his opportunity to do just that after exiting the Lakers.

It remains to be seen if that chance comes with the Wizards, who could still reportedly trade some of their assets. But regardless, he'll probably command a bigger role wherever he ends up.

It's going to be a full reset for Kyle Kuzma.
