The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a gritty win over a Golden State Warriors side punching above their weight class.
LeBron James and his men were faced with the threat of an upset all night, up until James hit the dagger triple to put the Lakers ahead for good.
James celebrated the Lakers victory immediately after the game with an Instagram post of his now-immortalized shot with the appropriately captioned – “Ballgame!!”

The shot was the culmination of an epic back-and-forth between both sides all game long. The Warriors stormed out to an early lead, leaving the Lakers with a 13-point deficit at halftime.
But of course the defending champions stormed right back. The Lakers turned the tables on the Dubs in the third quarter to cut the lead to two entering the final frame.
For the Warriors to be so close to victory was clearly an achievement of itself. The Lakers were clearly the heavy favorites, but it was LA who had to claw their way back to steal the game in the end.
The Lakers now set themselves up with a showdown against Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and the Phoenix Suns, while the Warriors try to keep their playoff hopes alive in a winner-takes-all bout with the Memphis Grizzlies.
