Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is clearly happy that his groin injury in the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors turned out to be minor.

LeBron underwent an MRI on Wednesday to reveal the damage, and luckily, it showed nothing more than a slight groin strain.

That has him currently listed as day-to-day, which is way better than some originally feared after cameras caught him saying that he heard a pop.

So, LeBron took to Twitter to express his happiness at the positive news.

Of course, losing LeBron for an extended period of time would be a massive blow for any team, so it's certainly great to hear that he will likely only miss a few games with the injury.

He played just 21 minutes in Tuesday's game, but that didn't stop the Lakers from securing one of the most impressive wins of the NBA season in earning the 127-101 victory at Oracle Arena.

Luke Walton's squad outscored Golden State 36-19 in the fourth quarter, and there were numerous players that stepped up in LeBron's absence.

The Lakers will now turn their attention to trying to keep the momentum going, even with the unknowns surrounding LeBron's return to the court.

Next up is a road matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday before the showdown against the Los Angeles Clippers the following night.

After that, the Lakers will finish up the week at Staples Center in a rematch with the Kings.

Should LeBron be sidelined for those three games, it should allow the team's young nucleus to gain even more valuable experience.
