LeBron James gets emotional on childhood dream after world premiere of Space Jam: A New Legacy
It has been a whirlwind week for LeBron James ahead of the much-anticipated world premiere of Space Jam: A New Legacy. Now that it’s over, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar can finally step back, breathe, and reflect on his latest accomplishment.
Only a handful of athletes can claim that they starred in a blockbuster movie, and that fact isn’t lost on LeBron, who penned an emotional reflection on Instagram.
“About last night! It was an ABSOLUTE SURREAL feeling doing a WORLD premiere of @spacejammovie in which I’m the lead role! Beyond Craziness. I literally would have dreams about being in Space Jam with the Looney Tunes when I was a kid growing up. Can’t believe this, I just can’t! To my amazing director & cast, you guys killed it! This Friday, July 16th, I can’t wait for all of you to see it! It’s one heck out an ADVENTURE I believe everyone will enjoy! Love y’all for real for real for the support!”
It’s pretty obvious that LeBron is pumped up.

LeBron already admitted that he was terrified of doing a spin-off of the original Space Jam featuring Michael Jordan because of how successful it was. Not to mention, he’d be following the footsteps of His Airness. But it was an opportunity too hard to pass up. After all, LeBron said he dreamed about Space Jam and Looney Tunes growing up.
Now, LeBron James has literally lived his dream.
That’s all folks! For now.
