LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were forced into another overtime game on Monday as they faced the Oklahoma City Thunder. During a timeout in the extra period, LeBron gave his 36-year-old body a quick rest by laying down on the video board.

LeBron was so exhausted in their back-to-back OT outings that he decided to take an extra breather. But despite showing signs of fatigue, he still managed to be productive with another triple-double of 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists in 43 minutes to lead the Lakers to their fifth consecutive win.

While analysts and fans are impressed by LeBron's performance in his 18th year in the NBA at 36 years old, the four-time champion expressed his need for some time off, specifically noting earlier that he doesn't have the energy to play in a possible All-Star Game in March.

LeBron also led the Purple and Gold in their 135-129 overtime win over the Detroit Pistons at Staples Center the other day, finishing with a game-high 33 points on top of five rebounds and 11 assists. He also nailed the back-to-back three-pointers in OT to finally fend off the hard-fighting Pistons.

The King had extra weight to carry against the Thunder as Anthony Davis sat out the game due to a right Achilles tendinosis. While Lakers coach Frank Vogel has tried to manage LeBron's minutes this season after a hectic championship run, he's left with no choice but to leave LBJ out there for extended periods.

LeBron James will get a much-needed day off before facing the Thunder again on Wednesday.
