Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has liked an Instagram post about Carmelo Anthony joining him on the Lakers.

LeBron James' trainer, CuffsTheLegend, posted a picture on Instagram of Carmelo Anthony next to James in a Laker uniform.

Anthony, who is still on the Houston Rockets' roster, is expected to be waived or traded before the Feb. 7 trade deadline and Los Angeles has been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Melo.

Carmelo Anthony appeared in just 10 games with the Rockets. The veteran scoring forward averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game with Houston while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Anthony and Chris Paul, who are best friends, weren't able to make it work in Houston, so why would LeBron James and Melo work in Los Angeles?

Anthony hasn't been an effective NBA player in his last two stops. His one season with the Oklahoma City Thunder was a disaster and the Thunder couldn't get rid of him quick enough.

That said, if there is anyone who could get the best out of Anthony at this stage of his career, it's LeBron James, who said back in December he knows Melo's game inside and out. It will be interesting to see what happens with Anthony.
