Just like NBA fans miss basketball, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James misses the fans.

James shared NBA commissioner Adam Silvers' letter to fans on his Instagram page with his own message:

The NBA season got suspended at the worst time for LeBron James and the Lakers. Los Angeles has the best record in the Western Conference. Many pundits picked the Lakers to win the NBA title come June.

Now that the season is suspended, Lakers fans might not get to see parade No. 17 after all, at least not in 2020.

James has appeared in 60 games for the Lakers this season. He's averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

LeBron was in the MVP conversation with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. James was looking for his fifth NBA MVP.

The Lakers lost to the Brooklyn Nets in their last game before the NBA season was suspended because of Rudy Gobert's positive coronavirus test. Donovan Mitchell has the virus as well, but Mitchell and Gobert are the only players on the Jazz who have tested positive.

LeBron helped the Purple and Gold snap its playoff drought this season. The tragic death of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is still on the minds of people in Los Angeles, which is why Laker basketball has been so important in The City of Angels.

The coronavirus outbreak has really been a huge buzzkill.
