Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James seems to be really hyped after seeing the Alex Caruso mixtape posted by the team's official Twitter account.

Caruso has been really impressive despite having a limited role for the Lakers over the past two seasons. He only appeared in 25 contests during the team's 2018-19 campaign, but he averaged 9.2 points and 3.1 assists.

Fans are expecting to see Caruso's minutes increase in the 2019-20 campaign. However, with the Lakers having a lot of guards on the roster, it is unclear if that will happen. Guys like Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Quinn Cook, and maybe even LeBron himself might share the minutes at the backcourt.

The Lakers have two of the top five players in the league right now in LeBron and Anthony Davis, which means they are expected to compete for a championship next season. With that said, they will need role players like Caruso to elevate their game. The 25-year-old guard has developed into a reliable 3-point shooter — registering a 48.0 percent shooting clip from beyond the arc last season — but he needs to work on his defense.

Still, it seems that Lakers fans are optimistic about Caruso's potential, and if he does end up playing well next season, it will be another reason why trading away the team's once-celebrated young core will be worth it.
