Long before he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James was widely considered the perfect prospect coming out of high school. The kid from Akron, Ohio was a 6'8″ forward who had an NBA-ready body while possessing high-level hoops skills and basketball IQ as a teenager.

While the Lakers star's son Bronny isn't exactly the same caliber of prospect, he's still a pretty interesting talent who has upside and translatable strengths on the basketball court. NCAA prospect specialist Rashad Phillips broke down what makes Bronny James an intriguing talent in his own right:

“I’ve been asked to breakdown Bronny’s game,” Phillips said of the Lakers star's son. “He’s is a 6’4 combo guard with excellent defensive instincts and upper body strength. He excels in open court and also has a good feel on offense. He’s a streaky but confident shooter. He’s actually good. Well done @KingJames #Yoda

LeBron James himself took notice of the scouting report Philips made. The Lakers star responded to the honest take made on his son:

For LeBron James and his son Bronny, the goal was always to be able to make it to the NBA and play alongside one another, whether as teammates on the Lakers or as rivals on opposite sides of the court. Bronny may not be a can't-miss prospect like his father, but he could turn some heads if given the right opportunity.
