Apparently, it didn't take much recruiting for LeBron James to convince Lance Stephenson to decide to play with him in Los Angeles. According to Zach Braziller of the New York Post, it only took James three words to convince him to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers:

“I want you.”

James and Stephenson have a long history of playing against one another. For as long as they've been facing off, Stephenson has been antagonizing James. Maybe, LeBron just wanted to get the well-known instigator on his side for once.

Or perhaps, James and Magic Johnson realize that their best chance to beat the Warriors may, in fact, be due to a possible Draymond Green suspension. Green's a notorious hothead and Stephenson may be just the guy to get on his nerves.

Stephenson has always seemed to struggle wherever he's been, with the exception of the Indiana Pacers. The Lakers will be the seventh team Stephenson will play for. Los Angeles hopes that they get the Lance Stephenson that can be a menace on the defensive end, while providing uptempo scoring and playmaking on offense.

On the flip side, they may get the erratic and unpredictable Stephenson that hasn't been able to last much longer than half a season in his various stops with the Hornets, Clippers, Grizzlies, Pelicans or Timberwolves.

Regardless, it will be entertaining to watch LeBron James team up with long-time nemesis, Lance Stephenson. If nothing else, this Lakers team will be must-watch TV for all the personalities on the roster.
