Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka sees LeBron James doing greater things this 2021-22 after his significant transformation this offseason, and the rest of the NBA should be scared.

Pelinka recently shared how LeBron has become slimmer over the summer. Now, the Lakers exec said that such change in LeBron's body should allow him to be quicker and more explosive–even as he enters his age-37 season.

“We all know LeBron studies the greats and he adds things into his game. I think going into this stage of his career he’s made a decision to come back a little bit leaner and I think that’s going to translate in his explosiveness and quickness. But he’s been very locked in with his training,” Pelinka said of James, per Talk Basket.

A veteran LeBron James looking like his 25-year-old self? That's certainly not good news for the 29 other NBA teams not named Lakers.

The Purple and Gold have retooled this offseason, adding Russell Westbrook and a slew of veterans like Carmelo Anthony, DeAndre Jordan and Rajon Rondo to their roster. Apparently, though, that won't be the only problem their opponents have to face with LeBron looking better than ever.

A lot has been said about the Lakers' old age and how they are not built for an 82-game season. However, it certainly looks like James is ready to prove his doubters wrong and show them he is no “Washed King.”

If what Rob Pelinka said is true and LeBron manages to keep himself healthy throughout, then the Lakers will surely be hard to stop.
