The recent ugly controversy involving Los Angeles Lakers stud Lonzo Ball, his father LaVar Ball, and their Big Baller Brand has done nothing to hold back LaVar's smack talking whatsoever.

The Ball family patriarch is running his big mouth again, spitting out more nonsense. This time around, LaVar has come out with the audacious claim that consensus first overall pick in the upcoming draft, Zion Williamson, “can't hold a candle” to his second son, LiAngelo.

“He ain't no big Baller,” LaVar says of the Duke superstar, via TMZSports.com “He's a Williamson. Williamson's ain't stronger than Ballers!”

We're not sure what to make of this, honestly. It's just funny at this point.

It didn't stop there though. LaVar continued to talk up Gelo, saying that if given the opportunity, his son would stand out as one of the top shooting guards in the league. That comes after he failed to impress the Lakers in a pre-draft workout.

“Biggest and the strongest 2-guard in the NBA right now,” Ball claimed. “Ain't nobody built like him at the 2-guard. Nobody. 6-6, 240, can shoot the 3, post you up — kill you. But, you going to see. You going to see.”

Despite making himself eligible for last season's draft, all 30 teams passed on LiAngelo — twice — as he was left unselected throughout the evening. He is not considered to be an NBA-level talent, but his father obviously thinks otherwise.

“I guarantee he'll be in the summer league, and guarantee he'll have an NBA contract this year,” LaVar exclaimed. “How's that?!”

Hey, to each his own, I guess. Good luck with that, LaVar.
