Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma suffered an ankle injury in the second half of the team's 113-105 loss against the LA Clippers. After the game, head coach Luke Walton told Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints that what he saw from Kuzma didn't look good.

The severity of Kyle Kuzma's injury has yet to be determined, but judging by Walton's statements, it might be a serious one.

The timing of the injury couldn't be worse for the Lakers, who are fighting for a playoff spot in the West. They remain in the 10th spot in the conference with a 30-34 record, and with 18 games left, their chances of making it into the postseason is extremely slim.

The Lakers faced the Clippers without Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Lance Stephenson. If Kuzma will also a significant number of games, it could create all sorts of problems for the Los Angeles team.

Sure, the Purple and Gold still have a slight chance of making it to the playoffs, but most of their remaining games are against teams who are already expected to be there. In fact, three of their next four games will be against the Toronto Raptors (second in East), Boston Celtics (fifth in East), and Denver Nuggets (second in West).

Without Ingram and Kuzma, LeBron James will be the only reliable scorer for the Lakers.
