Former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Nick Young has recently come out with his fearless forecast of how he thinks the Lakers will shape up for next season. According to the one-time NBA champion, the Lakers are going to absolutely dominate the league if they are somehow able to piece together an unlikely Big 4.

Young is pretty much shooting for the stars here, as he predicts a team-up between current Lakers talisman LeBron James, his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Kyrie Irving, incoming Philadelphia 76ers unrestricted free agent Jimmy Butler, and New Orleans Pelicans want-away superstar Anthony Davis.

It's difficult to argue with Young's claim, as a Big 4 consisting of there four stars will definitely prove to be a force to be reckoned with. However, whether or not the Lakers front office will be able to pull off such a coup will be the bigger concern.

On paper, this isn't impossible. A fair amount of players from L.A.'s current roster will be entering free agency this summer — including relatively big-earners such as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Rajon Rondo — and allowing some or most of these guys to walk away would give the team a significant amount of cap space. Perhaps, it would be enough to sign two big-name free agents (at a discount?) such as Irving and Butler.

As for Davis, the Lakers' desire to trade for the prized big man is no secret, and despite a major shakeup in the team's front office, the team will still likely pursue the six-time All-Star in the offseason. Los Angeles has the pieces to pull off this deal, so it's not at all impossible to see Davis representing the Purple and Gold next season.

Young has indeed come out with a very bold proposition, but surely, it is one that the Lakers faithful will want to come to fruition.
