Quinn Cook said that getting a chance play for the Los Angeles Lakers is a dream come true for him.

Cook signed a two-year deal worth $6 million with the Lakers. His decision not only put him in a good position to win another championship, but it also gave him the opportunity to fulfill his dream. He told that Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype that his father was a huge Lakers fan, which made the entire family root for Los Angeles back then.

“Anybody who knows me well or anybody who I spent time with as a kid knows how much the Lakers meant to my dad and meant to me when I was growing up,” Cook said. “My dad was always a fan and I was basically born into it. When I was young and learning about basketball, the Lakers were winning a bunch of championships.”

The 26-year-old guard also revealed that he has a lot of pictures with his father, both of them wearing a Lakers jersey or jacket. The former Duke University standout, who spent the past two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, said that he is very appreciative of the getting the chance to play for his favorite team growing up.
