The Los Angeles Lakers franchise has seen some iconic performances and big plays throughout its storied history. On May 26, 2002, Robert Horry added to that lengthy list.

Every Lakers fan (and Sacramento Kings fan, for that matter) remembers Big Shot Bob sinking the game-winning triple in Game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals, exactly 20 years ago to the day:

Horry himself reacted to his legendary shot, one of his treasure trove of big-time playoff performances, not just with the Lakers, but with the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets as well. He specifically remembered Kobe Bryant's reaction to and confidence in the shot going in.

“20 yrs Damn! Great day, great memories. Watching Kobe’s reaction before the shot went in is incredible, because he knew!” said the former Lakers vet.

The Lakers were already down 2-1 in the series against the Kings. Trailing by two points in the final seconds of Game 4, they were moments away from falling into a daunting 1-3 hole and losing out on the chance to complete their three-peat.

Instead, Robert Horry came up large in the biggest spot and helped Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and the rest of the Lakers even the series, eventually winning their third title in three seasons.
