Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook looked as though he just came home from a brutal street fight after getting elbowed in the head by San Antonio Spurs big man Zach Collins Saturday night.

Westbrook was fighting for the rebound after a miss late in the third quarter of the Lakers' game against the Spurs on the road when Collins caught the head of the former league MVP. Collins appears to have put a little bit more force on his duty foul on Westbrook, as he was attempting to prevent Westbrook from scoring off an offensive rebound.

Westbrook hit the ground after Collins' foul but immediately got up and charged at the Spurs' backup power forward. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed, with Collins also not electing to push back and make the situation worse.

Blood was seen running down the forehead of Westbrook, which was probably what got him even more heated. LeBron James, who was trying to pacify Westbrook, played the role of a first-aid expert and put on a towel on Westbrook's bleeding forehead.

Collins isn't known to be a dirty player and there was nothing there to believe that he was looking to hurt Westbrook.

Westbrook always plays with so much fire and his intensity and aggression can sometimes put him in that kind of scenario.

The Lakers are looking to win their second game in a row and fifth in six games. They already beat the Spurs last Friday (105-94) and last Sunday (123-92). Another win over San Antonio should be enough of a payback for Westbrook.
