It's not preposterous to say that the Russell Westbrook Experiment failed miserably for the Los Angeles Lakers. His fit with the team was like DJ Khaled wearing skinny jeans.

Unfortunately for Westbrook, he has been viewed as the scapegoat once again despite playing 78 out of 82 games for the Lakers. His erratic play is not exactly new. The Lakers knew what they were getting when they acquired him in the offseason. But still, it became apparent that the mercurial guard mostly looked lost in the scheme of things.

But despite his difficult maiden stint with the Lakers, Westbrook could find some personal solace after his former boss and consistent confidant, Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti, gave the former MVP a touching compliment (via Fadeaway World).

“Kevin Durant is a basketball, God James Harden is a basketball genius, and Russell Westbrook is a basketball warrior.”

Presti was asked about the Big Three he formed, which led the Thunder to the NBA Finals in 2012, and clearly, he still has fond memories. His description of Westbrook is also accurate. While the do-it-all fireball was underwhelming with the Lakers, there's no questioning his desire and competitiveness.

Unfortunately, the Lakers got hindered by a slew of factors this season, and the 33-year-old Westbrook never really got the chance to play a lot of games with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

With all the rumors swirling around, is it preposterous to imagine Westbrook returning to the Thunder for a full circle to his stellar career?
