There may still be another LA team in the 2021 playoffs in the Los Angeles Clippers, but Los Angeles Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal couldn't care less.

With the Lakers out of the playoff picture after a first-round exit, some might think that the likes of Shaq and Robert Horry would be rooting for the other LA team to win the championship. They're both Los Angeles teams anyway, so they would still make the city proud, right?

Well, that couldn't be more wrong.

In the latest episode of “The Big Podcast With Shaq,” O'Neal and Horry had a rather firm and strong response to the idea of them supporting the Clippers: “Hell no!”

Via Bleacher Report:

To be fair, this isn't really surprising. After all, the local rivalry has been going on for a long time now. Not to mention that Lakers fans would never want the Clippers to win at all and put a banner at the rafters of Staples Center, as Horry explained.

Imagine what Lakers fans would feel if they were to see such scene!

With that said, the Purple and Gold fan base must be enjoying the 2021 playoffs so far after the Clippers fell to a 2-0 deficit against the Utah Jazz. The series is far from over–that's for sure and just ask the Dallas Mavericks–but Lakers fans are probably (and secretly) supporting the Jazz as they try to eliminate the last LA team remaining.

Perhaps Shaquille O'Neal is also wishing that? Well, we're pretty sure another legend in Magic Johnson is a big fan of Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz.
