Snoop Dogg is a huge Russell Westbrook fan. Apparently, the same cannot be said about his view on former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel.

In a recent interview, Snoop shared his unfiltered view regarding Westbrook's struggles in his first season with the Lakers. In the mind of the long-time LA supporter, all the blame has to be pinned on Vogel and the way he misused Westbrook:

“He’s a killer,” Snoop Dogg said (h/t Zach Stevens of Lakers Daily). “He’ll find himself out of it. Remember, the coach wasn’t f—— with him. Coach used to sit him on the bench, take him out the game. That f—- with your mentality too, when you’re this great, and you’ve got this coach telling you, ‘Sit down, hold on,’ then when you get in, you definitely reckless because you ain’t in a groove. Basketball is a groove thing.”

It did not end there for Snoop Dogg. The outspoken hip-hop icon went on to belabor his point by explaining why he believes Vogel's decision to keep Westbrook on the Lakers bench did more harm than good:

“The coach and the player have to be on the same page to where you understand my minutes affect the way I play, and by you sitting me down, you affecting the way I play because now I can’t do the things I normally do,” Snoop continued. “Now I’m out here rushing and trying to get people involved instead of just running the game. Russell ain’t never sit on the bench.”

The good news for both Snoop and Russ is that Vogel is now out of the picture. Assuming that Westbrook is still with the Lakers next season, he will no longer have anyone to blame other than himself if his poor form continues. Then again, the finger can always be pointed at whoever takes over the helm in LA.
