Italian League head coach Tom Bialaszewski had a chance to work closely with Kobe Bryant as a video coordinator with the Los Angeles Lakers. According to his observation, Bryant didn't respect those who didn't put the time in as he did.

Speaking on The Woj Pod, Bialaszewski pointed out that even if the Lakers legend disagreed with you, he would still hold you in high regard if he knows that you've been working hard.

“I think if you were prepared and even if he didn't like what you had to say, or agree with it, he respected that you put the time in. I think it was the people who didn't put the time in whom he didn't have respect for. Because he worked his tail off.”

In addition, before Bialaszewski joined the Lakers, he had already read about Bryant's legendary workouts which started very early in the morning. At first, he thought it was some made-up stories to build the hype up around Bryant. Little did he know that every bit of what he read was true.

“That was the biggest shock for me when I got there. I thought about the 6 am workouts and all this kind of stuff that you read about from afar, were media stuff put out there to build up his aura and what not. But it wasn't the case. He expected everyone to work as hard as he did. And there's nothing wrong with that.”

Even if he's gone, the stories about the Lakers icon keep pouring in. It goes to show that even after death, Bryant's spirit continues to live on and inspire.
