Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James just ended the opening half of his 10th NBA Finals appearance with a bang.

The Lakers quickly settled down after being down early against the red-hot Miami Heat. They successfully mounted a 17-point lead coming into the break, with James having his DNA imprinted in the first 24 minutes of play.

The 35-year old showed no signs of aging as well, as he threw down an insane putback dunk from a Kyle Kuzma miss in transition. Unfortunately, the jam didn't count as James was a few seconds late.

Aside from the highlight, LeBron James also posted a near-triple double in just 18 minutes of play for the Lakers. He tallied nine points, six rebounds and seven assists in the opening half.

The dunk, which happened way passed the buzzer, would've been the perfect icing on the cake of the Lakers' first half performance.
