The Dallas Mavericks ended the Los Angeles Lakers' 10-game winning streak in a blowout that was virtually decided as early as the third quarter — thanks largely to the monster quarter by Mavs point guard Luka Doncic who scored 16 of his 27 points and half his 10 assists in that period. The 20-year-old then punctuated it with a stepback 3-pointer over LeBron James, capping off his impressive performance — and provoking an interesting reaction from Rajon Rondo.

Cameras caught the Lakers' backup point man looking at the Slovenian sensation with a longing, captivated stare.

It's actually hard to tell whether the look was of admiration of Doncic's clinical dissection of the purple and gold but it's hard to argue with his reaction either.

As for Rondo, he had an okay game dishing seven dimes and scoring four points in just 18 minutes with Alex Caruso getting the lion's share of the minutes at the guard spot.
