Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is certainly one of the most accomplished superstars in NBA history. When combined, arguably nobody in history of the NBA could match both his on-court achievements and his community and societal impact off the court.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was feeling pretty sentimental on Saturday night and tweeted out a post of gratitude for God and his mother Gloria James.

LeBron James has often referred to himself as #Blessed and always urges his fans and followers to #StriveForGreatness.
As accomplished as James has become, the generational superstar actually came from very humble beginnings. LeBron came from a single-parent household as his mother, Gloria, raised him on his own. James, likewise, never got to meet his father.
LeBron has always expressed how his mother plowed them through difficult times during his younger years. Under the guidance of his mother and “the Man above” as he usually says, James persevered and worked hard, and is now one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Still, as much of a megastar and a multi-billionaire he already is, the three-time NBA champion remains grounded and down-to-earth. James, contrary to his own dad, is an amazing father to his kids. LeBron James is often seen supporting his children in their games or in whatever else they do.
Likewise, as mentioned, his impact to society and the community has been enormous. James isn't afraid to use his voice, take a stand, and actively speak out on controversial issues in society. Moreover, LeBron James also gives back a lot of what he has earned to the community. Arguably the most notable of his off-court work is his I Promise School which he fully funded and raised in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
