The Detroit Lions are stuck with a 3-8-1 record after losing their annual Thanksgiving game. There's plenty of blame to go around in the Motor City. But a lot of it can be placed squarely on the shoulders of their head coach, Matt Patricia.

After the years of hovering around 9-7 records and making the playoffs only twice with Jim Caldwell over four years, they chose to go in a new direction in 2018 with a young Patriots defensive coordinator. So far, the team has gone 9-18-1 and are eliminated for the second consecutive time in the Matt Patricia era.

And the disappointment of another loss on Turkey Day isn't going to do much for morale with the fans.

“We got to find a way to win. We got to find a way to kind of break through that thing that’s stopping us right now and smash that so we can get this thing going. But you want to talk about a tough team, you want to talk about a team that fights, you want to talk about a team that’s going to try to do everything they can to win, that’s what we got right now.”

Although with the classic speech and talking up his guys, it doesn't do much else to stop the talks that he could end up being fired at the end of the season.

“I mean, again, for me, we’re just pushing forward every single step of the way. So, go back to work next week and try to do a good job at building on this week, and try to go win. Everything we can. We’ve got a big one coming up, Minnesota, obviously it’s a big game.”

As of right now, Patricia needs every game he can win.
