Detroit Lions third-string quarterback David Blough connected with wide receiver Kenny Golladay on a 75-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 7-7 against the Chicago Bears.

Blough came in as a replacement for second-string quarterback Jeff Driskel, who is nursing a hamstring injury.

This Blough's first career start in the NFL after playing four seasons with the Purdue Boilermakers. In four seasons at Purdue, Blough completed 871 passes for 9,734 yards and 69 touchdowns.

Lions starting quarterback Matthew Stafford is still nursing a back injury, it is expected that he will continue to miss more weeks.

Detroit currently stands last in the NFC North with a 3-7-1 record. Chicago is 5-6 and third in the NFC North and currently fighting for a playoff spot in a stacked division.

Chicago struck early with a Mitchell Trubisky touchdown pass to wide receiver Allen Robinson in what looked to be an already tough Thanksgiving afternoon for the Lions.

But Blough found Golladay to even up the score.

Detroit is widely critiqued for continuing to play on Thanksgiving, with their struggles as a franchise since when they made pay dirt on Thanksgiving with Barry Sanders in the backfield.

While there isn't much time for the Lions to turn their season around, they are still looking for some positives going into the final games of the season. This game means more to the Bears' playoff hopes.

After this game, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Buffalo Bills, and the New Orleans Saints will take on the Atlanta Falcons.
