Only a month away from the 2017 NBA Draft, a group of soon-to-be pro basketball players took on the chance to thank their dads prior to Father's Day in a Foot Locker ad, telling anecdotes about their times growing up and what it took to make it this far into their careers.

Then we have Lonzo Ball — perhaps the most talked about prospect in the draft due to the constant media appearances from his father, LaVar.

Lonzo, of course, has a way different perspective in what a father's role is in the upbringing of a future NBA player — describing it in ways you won't want to miss.

The fact that Lonzo is able to joke so openly about these things makes him more likable to the public as well as building an excellent marketing strategy putting him as the hero and his father as a somewhat comical villain.

The real question is… would Foot Locker be able to retail Lonzo's $500 shoes?
