Aaron Gordon put on a show back in 2016, but Zach LaVine wound up winning. The Magic power forward is eager to get his revenge against LaVine.
It’s unknown, though, if LaVine is going to participate in next year’s dunk contest.
What we do know is it would be great if Gordon and LaVine had their rematch in Chicago. Both guys are two of the best dunkers in the game and would surely put on a show in The Windy City.
Last season for the Magic, Gordon averaged 16.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 78 games while shooting 44.9 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line. The Magic made the playoffs for the first time since 2012, the final season of the Dwight Howard era. Orlando lost to the Toronto Raptors in the first round in five games.
It was still a good experience for Gordon, who put up 15.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the five-game series against the Raptors. The Magic are excited to see Gordon take the next step in his development in 2019-20.
