Manchester United have offered Paul Pogba a lucrative contract in trying lure him to stay at Old Trafford, per utdreport.

The contract details are unknown, other than the fact that it's more than any other team has offered. For awhile now, it's been rumored and reported that the star midfielder would leave the Reds at the end of the season. Now, utdreport's tweet makes it seem a stay is perhaps a possibility.

Just a week ago, interim manager Ralf Rangnick admitted Pogba was set to leave after the season. The midfielder will miss the remainder of the season due to a calf injury. In 20 English Premier League matches this season, he tallied a goal and nine assists. He had four assists in the season opener alone against Leeds United.

On Saturday, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola tragically passed away. Raiola was a well-known agent, looking over the likes of Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erling Haaland, amongst others. This makes things interesting negotiation-wise for Pogba, as he may now have to do things on his own when it comes to his contract.

It's been a disastrous season for Manchester United after lofty expectations were placed heading in. With three games remaining, they sit at 15-10-10. Their 55 points positions them in sixth-place, with virtually no chance to finish top-four. That means Manchester United will not qualify for next year's Champions League, perhaps a huge deciding factor for pending free agents.

Pogba will now have a decision to make on whether he prioritizes money or a fresh start elsewhere. He won't paid more anywhere else other than Old Trafford. Additionally, he'd get somewhat of a clean slate with United with Erik Ten Hag coming in as the team's new manager. Who knows, maybe Pogba will now stay with Manchester United.
