It has been an exciting NBA postseason with plenty of good storylines. However, one major issue for each team involved has been injuries. Stars such as Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler, Marcus Smart and more have dealt with various ailments which has kept them out of games. Injuries are a part of the game, but Mavs owner Mark Cuban shared his reasoning as to why injuries have mounted at such a high rate in this year's playoffs.

As fun as the Play-In Tournament was, it led to playoff games being played every other night. Which raises the question of whether that has led to teams being tired and possibly injured. We can’t extend the last day because of TV. Should the PlayIn be just 8th seed or not at all?

His logic makes sense. The NBA Play-in Tournament has caused rippling effects on the playoffs. Cuban's Mavs have dealt with their share of injuries which is likely what brought Cuban to say what he said. Fans may not realize the physical stress these players are under. But having to play in high intensity games every other night after a long 82 game season is a daunting challenge.

Adam Silver and the NBA need to make a decision. Is having a play-in tournament worth risking the health of top NBA stars? The league needs their best players on the court from a marketing standpoint.

And we all want to make sure the players get their rest and are as healthy as possible. So there could be changes to the format as soon as next year. The NBA has always displayed a willingness to make adjustments.

Mark Cuban could be the driving force behind bringing change to the format.
