Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic has already impressed plenty of players in the league, including Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox, who's grown impressed with his maturity at such a ripe stage of his career.

“He is a great player who is playing extremely well for being a 19-year old rookie,” Fox said, according to Jason Jones of The Athletic. “He looks like a veteran on the court, similar to Bogdan [Bogdanovic] (last season). They are rookies, but they’re not rookies at the same time. They played professional all for a while and you can definitely see it. He’s got room to grow, but he is a great player.”

While many doubted Doncic's mettle and the type of transition he would have coming over from an European brand of basketball to a more athletic, faster-paced NBA game, the Slovenian wonder has adapted swiftly. He's displayed a strong array of NBA tools with his shot selection, crafty finishes around the basket and an all-around game that's quickly allowed him to climb up the ladder as the favorite for the Rookie of the Year award.

The rookie forward is averaging 18.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in his first season in the league, numbers aided by his experience in the EuroLeague, where he became the youngest-ever MVP after three seasons as a pro with world powerhouse Real Madrid.

Doncic's pro experience overseas has undoubtedly given him a great advantage crossing over to the NBA game, one he's put on display early after leading his team to a 15-13 record in the wild West.
