Just like the rest of the Dallas Mavericks' fanbase, Dirk Nowitzki was hyped after seeing Jalen Brunson and the Mavs take down the Utah Jazz in Game 2 of their playoff series.
Playing without the injured Luka Doncic for the second straight contest, there were legitimate concerns about the Mavs' ability to beat the Jazz. As seen in their playoff opener, they just didn't have an answer of Donovan Mitchell. They even allowed Rudy Gobert to dominate the glass and make a massive impact despite his poor offensive production.
That all changed in Game 2, as Dallas competed from start to finish to edge Utah 110-104. Brunson was sensational with a 41-piece, while Maxi Kleber played his best Nowitzki impression with eight triples for 25 points.
Naturally as the Mavs tied the series 1-1, Nowitzki was ecstatic and couldn't contain his excitement about the game.

Dirk Nowitzki's joy is understandable. Not only is winning Game 2 crucial for their playoff chances, but doing so without their best player in Luka Doncic is also a massive confidence booster for the team as the series progresses.
It is exactly the kind of result they need as the series shifts to Utah where the Jazz will hope to take advantage of their homecourt and secure the lead in the contest.
The Mavs will have to put on a similar effort or better than they showed in Game 2 if they want to keep on winning. One things is certain, though, Dirk will be cheering for them throughout.
