Dallas Mavericks fans are excited to get the new season started. The Mavs may have lost Dirk Nowitzki to retirement, but they have an exciting duo coming up in Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

The two European stars have enthralled and won fans all over the world with their top basketball skills. Even fellow NBA players cede that they are two of the most exciting young players to watch.

Apparently, one of their biggest fans is Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant. The seven-foot forward said he is looking forward to see the two play while he is looking to recover from his injured Achilles.

Doncic and Porzingis have been teamed up after the Mavs made the bombastic trade in February 2019. However, they haven't played on the same NBA court yet, as Porzingis was busy rehabbing his ACL injury.

Known as the Unicorn, Porzingis got plenty of boos when he was drafted fourth overall in the 2015 Draft. However, he has proven the doubters wrong with his strong rookie outing. He was averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game in 2017-18 when an ACL injury cut his year short.

Meanwhile, Doncic is the Rookie of the Year out of an outstanding 2018 rookie class that includes Trae Young, DeAndre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander among others.

The Slovenian wonderboy finished his debut campaign with an average of 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists on 43 percent shooting. Luka has proven himself as a competitor with a deadly stepback and a knack for making the perfect pass.

Both Porzingis and Doncic know the high expectations placed upon the two of them. Doncic himself expects a lot out of his partnership with KP.

If the duo can stay as hungry as they are now their entire careers, they could easily become one of the greatest duos to ever play the game.
