Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks were in an intense battle against the New York Knicks on Friday in Madison Square Garden. However, the Mavs star put a bit too much into his reaction after a strong finish which resulted in his 11th technical foul of the year.

Doncic busted out some low-post action in the play below, and he clearly thought he should have gotten an extra free-throw after absorbing contact on his finish.

Luka Doncic appeared to have screamed in the direction of the referee, which is why he got whistled for a tech. You can clearly see in the reaction of the Mavs star afterwards that he completely disagreed with the call. Then again, how many players in the history of the NBA have ever commended the referee after being called for a technical foul? Not many, I presume.

Doncic, who recently announced his NBA Top Shot fandom, was able to lead his team to victory over the Knicks, 99-86. He led all scorers with 26 points, to go along with eight rebounds and seven assists. As it turns out, the questionable technical foul call did not throw him off his game, as the Mavs logged their third straight victory on Friday.
